When more people ride bikes to get around, the whole community benefits. It improves people’s health and wellbeing, reduces air pollution and traffic congestion, and brings economic benefits too. On top of all that, it’s a cheap and convenient way to get around and is loads of fun!

Shift is now closed to new applications for 2021-2

Creating cycling communities

Do you want to help more people in your community to cycle for short everyday journeys? Shift is here to help.

We’ll provide you with funding and expert support to run activities that will help people jump on a bike, instead of into their car.

From cycle training and confidence boosting sessions to cargo bike trials for local businesses, we will help your ideas flourish.

Our knowledgeable team of local development officers will be there to support you every step of the way, with access to training, networking and expert advice.

  • Up to £1500 grant funding
  • Expert local support and advice
  • Access to training and networking
