Aggie Maxwell
Aggie runs sessions in Newcastle upon Tyne for mothers wanting to gain confidence cycling with their children in a bike seat or trailer. She helps them practice with weighted dolls, before a skills practice with the real kids followed by a short ride.
Aggie has also been a British Cycling Breeze leader and the welfare officer at her children’s Go Ride club for the past two years.
Aggie says, “I love seeing someone’s confidence improve. I was late to cycling, only really learning to cycle four years ago. Some amazing women set me on my journey and it pleases me to pay it forward.”
Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling is an annual list celebrating inspirational women who are encouraging others to take part in this wonderful and life-enhancing activity.
