The Wold Traverse

The Wold Traverse

The Wold Traverse Audax '19
Sunday 15th September

Event organiser Alan Hockham (on behalf of Cycling UK Louth).

Cycling UK Lincolnshire have been running a 'Wolds' Audax event since 1983, starting originally at Hubbard's Hills in Louth before moving to Ludford in 1989. This new event (The Wold Traverse) replaces the latter with a route devised by Alan, taking in the best of the coastal flatland and the Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Cycling UK Louth thanks Alan for all his hard work and to the 17 riders who took part in the event. A few of those who had originally signed up weren't able to attend due to illness.

Thanks also to Cycling UK Louth members who helped in the organisation and manning the various controls. Celia's fruit cake was excellent!

A special mention to Mark and Liz of the B17 Cafe in Binbrook who opened up especially for us. They much appreciated the donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hoping everyone enjoyed the day and we look forward to welcoming you back next year.
