Welcome to the Pedalpower homepage, We are an affiliated group of Cycling UK. We are a group of cycle coaches and Breeze ride leaders who are dedicated to getting people into cycling. Can you ride a bike but want to learn basic skills? Do you love to ride but are afraid on the roads? We run skills sessions at Brooskbank cycling circuit, completely traffic- free, to help you improve your cycling and confidence on the bike.
PedalPower is a cycle club with a difference, we want to encourage women to learn to ride or improve on existing skills, have fun and cycle without the need for membership fees. We try to fund our club through grants and running courses such as skills sessions and couch to 10k.
We are qualified British Cycling coaches and Breeze ride leaders who want to help build confidence through working on skills, facilitating social interaction and supporting our cycling participants.
Want to cycle but don’t have a bike? We are the home of a Yorkshire Bank bike library, so you can come along to our sessions and borrow a bike. We also have a selection of helmets and women specific saddles for you to try out. At the track, as well as the bike library, there will be drinks and biscuits in the clubhouse so you can socialise and let us know how you’re getting on and what would help you improve.
What can you expect from us? We want to help you build fitness and skills in a safe off road, relatively private setting. As your cycling confidence improves, we can point you to local Breeze rides, other organised rides, and you can come along and join us on a ride. We want you to be able to take your cycling as far as you want, while having fun.
Our Group cycle coaching is on hold at the moment, we will be revealing an exciting new program for Spring 2021.
We will be publishing group rides (on and off road) on our facebook page if you still want to join us, these are free and will indicate the ride level required for the ride, if you are not sure then why not drop us a line.
We are dedicated cycle coaches who believe that all women should be able to improve their cycling skills, their health and fitness, and socialise and have fun in the process.
