World Naked Bike Ride, London
The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is a cycling protest campaign promoting healthier environment, safer cycling and better attitudes to the human body. Cycling and WNBR should be for everyone! It is a worthy, legal and fun way to protest for a better future.
The ride is held in many cities around the world, including around 22 in the UK. The London ride has taken place annually since 2004 and regularly attracts over 1,000 participants. This year the ride is expected to have six starting points, converging into a 2 mile peloton in Central London.
WNBR’s themes are to:
- protest against the global dependency on oil
- curb car culture
- obtain real rights for cyclists
- demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets
- celebrate body freedom
