Hannah said: "I'm sure the other 99 women on this list are doing far more effective, self sacrificing and practical things to get people riding bikes - I'm just someone who got very lucky and gets to write about it."
Hannah started working for Singletrack Magazine after leaving a career in public sector policy and project management. Feeling that there must be more to life than commutes and meetings, writing and reviewing for both the Singletrack magazine and website opened up a whole world of opportunities Hannah didn't know existed.
I've been fortunate enough to have had all sorts of adventures, seen far flung places, and made new friends - all because of bikes
Hannah said: "I've been fortunate enough to have had all sorts of adventures, seen far flung places, and made new friends - all because of bikes.
"I'm also very privileged to have the editorial freedom and company support to write about things that interest me outside of the standard 'trails and tech' of mountain biking media.
"Singletrack has given me the platform to talk about the social, political and environmental aspects of cycling that matter to me, such as some of the wider issues around the cycling industry, women's sport, equality and the general power (and joy) of bikes.
"I've always ridden bikes as transport, but now I get to ride bikes of all varieties for fun and fitness, tricks and kicks - as well as to work. I try to never say no to anything on a bike, and I hope that in attempting to convey my enthusiasm for bikes of all kinds, maybe others will be tempted to give a ride a go."
Cycling creates a connection between us and our environment. Bikes link people and places, create communities, deliver freedom, bring joy, and improve fitness
Hannah explained why she loves cycling, "cycling creates a connection between us and our environment. Bikes link people and places, create communities, deliver freedom, bring joy, and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments.
"There's no greater ice breaker than a bike, and who knows what possibilities will present themselves when we broaden our horizons. Cycling has changed my life, and I want as many people as possible to have the potential to experience that too."
